1/2 loaf sliced French Bread
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups Half & Half
1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 cup softenend butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
Maple Syrup

Arrange bread slices, slightly overlapping, to fill bottom of buttered 9 x 13 baking dish. Combine eggs, half & half, vanilla, cinnamon, & nutmeg in medium bowl and mix well. Pour over bread slices. Cover & refrigerate overnight. Remove bread slices and place on a large greased cookie sheet/pan in single layer, not overlapping. Combine butter, brown sugar, nuts, and corn syrup in small bowl. Mix well & spread over bread. Bake 40 minutes @ 350. Serve warm, topped with Maple syrup. This is a simple and delicious ‘do ahead’ breakfast treat. You can freeze the baked ‘toasts’ and microwave them later. Perfect when done weeks in advance for Christmas morning.
